Hale keeps track of your food, training, body, sleep, meds and labs. You say what happened in plain words or snap a photo, and H, the AI behind it, does the logging.
Your whole day on one screen. Protein, calories and meds as rings, then steps, today's gym session, the next meal and tonight's sleep plan.
Knows what kind of day it is. A gym day leads with the session and what you lifted last time. A rest day says when the next one is.
Recovery at a glance. Resting heart rate, HRV, steps and sleep, each against your own average.
Your week, every Monday. Weight, food, lifts, sleep and meds in one summary, with H's read on it.
A one-tap daily check-in on energy and mood, which shows up in your coach's brief.
Tell Hale
A bar at the bottom of every screen. Type it, say it, or snap it.
Say it like you'd text it. "Ate the yogurt bowl, a coffee, 218.6 this morning" becomes a meal, a dose of caffeine and a weigh-in.
Nothing saves until you tap Log. Every entry shows up as a card you can fix or untick first.
Spots what's missing. A card without a dose or an amount is highlighted until you fill it in.
Talk instead of typing. Speech is turned into text on the phone itself, and the mic runs only after you tap it.
Snap a nutrition label. Hale reads it, scales it to how much you actually had, and remembers it for next time.
Ask H
A chat with the AI that keeps your records, from anywhere in the app.
Ask anything about your own data. H searches your history and your earlier chats before it answers.
Press and hold a card to ask H about it. The question arrives with that card attached.
It changes plans, not just answers. Say "I'll be in bed by 12:30" and tonight's plan is rebuilt around it.
Request a change to the app itself. Pin the spot on a screenshot, say what you want, and it goes on H's build list.
Works from Siri and Shortcuts. “Tell Hale”, “What should I eat next in Hale”, “When should I go to bed in Hale”.
Sleep
Every evening, a plan for the night.
When to go to bed and when to set the alarm, worked out from when you actually fall asleep and what's first thing tomorrow.
Everything for the night on one page: food left to hit your target, when to take night meds, and tomorrow's agenda.
Set your own bed time and Hale keeps H's suggestion next to it, so you can see the trade.
Food
A meal plan, a food log and a kitchen that talk to each other.
A meal plan that keeps up. What to eat next and when, with Ate it, Half or Skip. When the day changes, it replans.
Tap any food for the full story: macros, how sure the estimate is, where the numbers came from. Edit or delete.
Meal reminders with manners. Quiet while you're out, quiet once you've said you're full, and never pushing food late at night once you've eaten enough.
Knows what's in the kitchen. What's going bad soon, how much is left, and a request for a photo of the date when it isn't sure.
A grocery list built from the plan and what's already on the shelf.
Rate your meals and the plan and grocery list take it into account.
Lift
Made for barbell training with a coach.
Every session, and what you did last time, with progress charts for each lift.
Photograph the gym whiteboard. Hale finds the photo, H reads it into a session and asks about anything it couldn't make out.
Plate math for your gym's actual plates. Type the weight, see what goes on each side.
A page for your coach: recent sessions, injuries, bodyweight, what you ate before the gym and how you recovered.
Body
Numbers that don't jump around for no reason.
Trend weight. Daily weigh-ins as dots, the real trend as a line, so one salty dinner doesn't look like a setback.
How much you burn, with honest error bars. It says so when it's too early to call a deficit.
DEXA scans: fat, lean, bone and visceral fat, compared only on the same machine and only when a change beats the scanner's margin of error.
Steps from your real baseline, with a slow ramp you can pause any time.
Every Apple Health data type, each with its own chart.
Experiments
Try things on yourself, properly.
Up to three experiments at a time, with the rules set before you start and fixed weekly and monthly reads.
Every idea comes with its evidence, and ideas from forums are labelled as forum ideas.
Private progress photos, with guided setup and side-by-side comparison.
A two-minute brain check: reaction time, digit span, focus and mood.
Meds and labs
Everything you take, and what your bloodwork says about it.
A checklist of everything you take, by time of day, with Take all.
Every substance, not just prescriptions: supplements, caffeine, nicotine, alcohol. Each gets a history, charts and a time-of-day pattern.
Heads-up notes on combinations and timing, and a "same one or another?" check when a dose looks like a repeat.
Short courses count the pills left. Vaccines show when the next dose is due.
Supplies and refills, with a reminder before you run out.
Labs: what's due and why, results read from lab PDFs and Apple Health records, and trends over time.
Appointments, with a brief ready before each visit.
Safety
For the days that go wrong.
An emergency screen for paramedics: what you take, last doses, conditions and contacts. It works offline, and the watch keeps a copy.
Keeps Apple's Medical ID honest. It notices when Medical ID is out of date and helps you fix it.
Share with a doctor. A PDF report, written for whoever is going to read it.
Everywhere
Wrist, Home Screen, desk.
An Apple Watch app: today at a glance, meds, Tell Hale and the emergency info, plus watch face complications.
Widgets for the next meal, food rings, tonight, meds due and emergency info.
Hale Desk for the Mac, with the deep version of every chart.
Works without signal. What you log waits and sends when you're back, and anything you log can be undone for a few seconds.
Hale Desk on the Mac.
What it doesn't do
It isn't for sale. No App Store, no accounts, no sign-up. It's built for one person and talks to one private server.
No barcode scanner and no food database. Calories come from the meal plan, a label photo or H's estimate, and estimates are marked as estimates.
It doesn't diagnose anything or replace a doctor. Safety notes are heads-ups.
It doesn't track workouts, heart rate or sleep itself. Those come in through Apple Health, from an Apple Watch, Oura, WHOOP or whatever you wear.
It writes almost nothing back to Apple Health. Weigh-ins only.
The smart parts need a connection. Offline it still logs, shows what it already had, and opens the emergency screen, but H can't read photos or answer.
No Android, no iPad version, no web app. iPhone, Apple Watch and Mac.
It never logs on its own. Whatever H proposes waits for you to tap Log.
It doesn't listen in the background. The mic runs only after you tap it.
No streaks, badges, confetti or ads.
It doesn't keep your data in a company's cloud. Records live on a private server. The AI that reads them runs in the cloud, so what you send it does leave the house.
